About us
Russell’s Rescue is a small, private voluntary rescue specialising in the rehabilitation of corvids. Our rescue is named after our first rescue rook – Russell Crow. Russell was a true inspiration and his legacy and memory continues to live on in the rescue work we do.
We collaborate with other rescues and offer a permanent sanctuary for disabled birds who are able to live happily in captivity (subject to space and availability). Our main aim is to educate the public about birds and their welfare in general and release healthy birds back into the wild.
Availability
We can pick up subject to availability, time and location. As we run our rescue 24/7 please be patient with us, we also have full time jobs. We also are proud to provide training for other rescues and a referral system. Our main priority is our own birds, hence why it is so important to work together to avoid burnout.
Location
We are located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire but offer global support and when quieter travel all over the UK to help birds and support other rehabbers.
