Su has been rescuing wildlife since childhood and for the past 18yrs has been a Voluntary Registered Bat Carer with BCT.

When a rescued bat is recuperating and has shown that she/he can fly short distances in a soft playpen, Su then exercises her rescues inside a 12ft x 10ft purpose-built ‘Bat Flight’, The bat flight is in her garden and her bats can fly safely, in the fresh air, whilst building their muscles and learning how to manoeuvre quickly and catch insects on the wing. All bats need to be capable of feeding and caring for themselves when finally returned to their natural habitat and flying free.
