🕊️ We rescue, rehabilitate and release wild animals – pigeons, foxes, toads, mice, seals, and more! We are open and able to accept wildlife casualties from 8am-5pm. We are also transferred patients from some local vet practises, and work with other local animal welfare organisations too.
🏨 We have specialised facilities – enclosures, aviaries, pools, isolation cubicles, quarantine rooms, incubators, an x-ray room, a wet room for washing contaminated animals and soft-release pens and aviaries in our woodland.
🩺 We have experienced wildlife vets 7 days a week, skilled vet nurses from wildlife rehabilitation backgrounds, several highly-trained Wildlife Assistants, and some incredibly clever, caring, and hardworking volunteers. We offer valuable work experience to vet/nurse students, vet/nurses, and animal care students, too.
💊 We can start animals on treatment immediately – pain relief, antibiotics, fluids (administered orally or subcutaneously), etc. We can analyse fecal samples to test for parasites, and analyse blood samples for glucose levels. We are very fortunate to have our vets, so are able to sedate a patient, take x rays, and even perform surgery without having to leave the hospital.
🌳 Our beautiful woodland contains a lot of wonderful wildlife, including Hazel Dormice, Weasels and Badgers! The woods are a home for many creatures – they serve as both a release site for many species, and an unforgettable experience for the young people who come here to learn.
🦊 We can offer advice on how to help if you find a wild animal in need – sometimes we can rescue wildlife ourselves, depending on how busy we are looking after our patients. Please call us on 0300 123 0723 or message our Facebook.
