About this rescue:
The CRRU is a marine conservation charity based in northeast Scotland, dedicated to the conservation and protection of Scottish whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans) through scientific investigation, environmental education outreach and the provision of a 24-hour rescue service for sick, injured and stranded individuals. Conducting advanced training courses in marine mammal rescue year-round, the charity operates the only specialist response team specifically for live-stranded whales and dolphins in Scotland. To date, over 3,500 members of the public have undertaken rescue training with CRRU or currently contribute to our national citizen science cooperative.
